June 16 – 22
Trundle in Central NSW was the location for our June Farm Rescue. All the towns across this region are doing it tough with prolong drought conditions so it was great to be able to spend a week and give the town a big hug and surrounding farmers a helping hand. There were 70 volunteers including 35 Corporates from Forsythes Recruitment. I was their annual conference and they called it The “Paper Cuts for Blisters Conference”. They had a great week and have promised to join us next year.We worked at 2 schools, 2 community projects and 4 farms. On the 4 farms we helped repaired or replaced approx. 1 km of fencing, painted 2 farm house, replaced a large water tank, dug approx. 700m trench and laid a water pipe up to the Farm house. We also serviced farm equipment. In the town we worked at the 2 schools replacing fences, painted, connected up 2 water tanks to capture rain water and landscaping. At the town Oval we landscaped and planted heaps of tree
Another Great week. Trundle made us very welcome and as always we got an amazing amount of work done in just 5 days.. Thanks Trundle for hosting the Farm Army. And a special thanks you to all the Volunteers. Without you the week wouldn’t have happened.
