Only 4 more sleeps! Are you ready Murrurundi?
The trailer and Prado are packed, the gone Fishing! sign is ready to put up on our office door ( a tradition when we leave for Farm Rescue ) Our work boots at the ready. Grant and I will set off from Brisbane at 6 am tomorrow. We are looking forward to seeing you.
Just a few things to let you know about.
Murrurundi has been on Level 6 water restrictions since July last year. They have had to have water carted every day from Scone since December. With this in mind we ask that all of you with Caravans fill up before arriving in Murrurundi. Either in Tamworth or Scone.
As we have mentioned before we have limited access to power, Rosey drew names from a hat to allocate them. And the winners are.. Geoff & Anne, Paul M, Phil and Marg, Chris H, Jim A and Gianna.
If you have access to a few basic tools please bring them with you. Hammer , phillips head screwdriver, tape measure etc. Cordless power tools are permitted. Please do not go out and buy anything.
What to bring…
Don’t forget your musical instruments!
Cup, plate and bowl and cutlery.
Warm clothes, its getting down to about 8 degrees during the night.
If you were at Kyabram please don’t forget to bring your work tshirts, water bottle, caps.
Dress like a farmer outfit for Friday night
If you would like to…
We have been working closely on the ground with a great group in Murrurundi called “Doing it for our Farmers”, they run a pop up pantry for the farmers, donations of food and other products have been sent to them. When I spoke to the co ordinator I asked what they got most requests for, “toilet paper, cleaning products and Sunscreen” was the reply.
If you would like to donate some of these products we can drop them in to them.
See you soon,
Julia & Grant
