Farm Rescue

What is the Farm Rescue concept?

Just like the reality TV shows that fix up houses, we found a need to help farmers and rural communities fix up their places or build community infrastructure. Since we formed the Farm Army of volunteers and started conducting Farm Rescues in 2015 we’ve helped farmers and communities across 3 states and changed their and our lives in the process.

In 2018 we’ve started our trips in Victoria where we have selected a number of farms that have jobs that need specialist attendance and general volunteer work. Each trip will be fully catered and we can transport you to the site if you don’t want to take your own vehicle ( we leave from Brisbane ). We also promise you will have a great time, make some new friends and earn that great feeling of having assisted someone who desperately needs help.

Volunteers

Volunteers are the backbone of the help we provide. Across our great country people have amazing skills and in some cases are looking to put them to use. By registering to join a trip you’ll have that opportunity to put your skills and knowledge to work. In addition the other volunteers and their skills will be shared with you in what is a truly amazing week.

Tradies

There is always a need for tradies in the bush. This was one of the main reasons we established this program, farmers and rural communities couldn’t access or afford tradies. We’re on the lookout for these trades for all of our trips. Do you have any of these skills or know someone who might?

Builders Carpenters Handymen
Plumbers Painters Fencers
Electrician Mechanic Diesel Mechanics

We’re also asking people with any skill to register. Every skill is needed in some way in the bush.

Sponsors & Suppliers

We need some sponsors to come on board and help us cover the cost of the parts needed to fix numerous items and also companies who are prepared to donate goods and services that our tradies can use. We’re offering companies the opportunity to have their name emblazoned on our farm rescue t shirts, website, Rural Aid corporate materials and have access to media exposure over a 12 Month period.
