What is the Farm Rescue concept?
Just like the reality TV shows that fix up houses, we wanted to organise a number of group Farm Rescues. Our 2000 farmers have a lot of equipment to fix and houses in really bad repair so we thought why not get a team of tradies and volunteers together and make a change.
We’re going to kick off the 2017 program with a week in Cunnamulla in Western Queensland in April where we have selected a number of farms that have jobs that need specialist attendance and general volunteer work. Each trip will be fully catered and we can transport you out to the site if you don’t want to take your own vehicle. We also promise you will have a great time, make some new friends and earn that great feeling of having assisted someone who desperately needs help.
There is always a need for tradies in the bush. We’re on the lookout for these trades for this trip and other rescue trips in the future. Do you have any of these skills or know someone who might?
We’re also asking people with any skill to register. Every skill is needed in some way in the bush.
Sponsors & Suppliers
We need some sponsors to come on board and help us cover the cost of the parts needed to fix numerous items and also companies who are prepared to donate goods and services that our tradies can use. We’re offering companies the opportunity to have their name emblazoned on our farm rescue mini bus and have access to the media exposure over a two tear period.
